We boarded the Zuiderdam today! We explored the ship and met some of our fellow travelers. The embarkation process went smoothly and all of our luggage from Luggage Forward arrived safely!
We arrived early to have a pre-vacation with our son Jordan. We did a short cruise to the Bahamas so he could revisit Atlantis which he remembers fondly from when he went with his Aunt Laury and I.
We spend some time at the Fort Lauderdale Renaissance in Plantation. They have a beautiful pond in the back with interesting waterbirds, including Muscovy ducks, Canadian geese, an anhinga, and an American coot.
Just a note, that I am still learning about blogging, including how to set up my e-mail, use chat, and what to do about subscribers. Please don't feel that I am ignoring you. I just need to learn about these features! Tomorrow is a day at sea so I am hoping to explore some of these.
I'm curious - is there good high-speed internet onboard?
