Marrakech to Casablanca

The last day in Marrakech began with a visit to Cactus Thiemann, the largest cactus garden in Africa.

Next was a delicious lunch at a beautiful restaurant. Brent got his picture taken with the Moroccan king Mohammed VI- or at least a picture of him.

After a long drive to Casablanca, the tour gave everyone time to explore Muhammad V Square. There was a beautiful fountain and many, many pigeons.

They also saw the King Hussan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Africa currently open for worshippers. It is also one of only two mosques in Morocco that allows non-Muslim visitors into the mosque.

The final stop before returning to the ship was Rick's Cafe, designed to be like the cafe made famous by the Humphrey Bogart film, Casablanca. The movie cafe was not originally a real place, but since 2004 there has been a Rick's Cafe in Casablanca.
